New Zealand: Does Heaven Look Like This ?

New Zealand, December 2006

It was my happiest holiday ever. Because that was the only time I went for a holiday with the complete family members. Usually my eldest brother is too busy with work to join our holiday trip.
New Zealand is very beautiful, I thought I was in heaven. Every places we visited has never failed to amaze me with its picturesque scenery.

HK - Japan - Malaysia

3 weeks trip during the Christmas holiday 2005 to Hong Kong, Japan and Malaysia with my family.

 19/12/2005:

We flied by MAS from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur and we had to wait for 4 hours before we continued to Hong Kong.

20/12/2005:

Meeting my relatives who live in HK and having lunch in our favourite restaurant, not far from Times Square.

21/12/2005:

We joined a group tour from HK and we flied to Tokyo. Arrived in Narita in the afternoon then we went to Pallete Town. It's a massive and very modern car showroom. We rode the Tokyo Giant Wheel to see Tokyo city at night. It was stunning.

22/12/2005:

We had a half day free time to spend in the Tokyo Disneysea. We were given choice between Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea. I've been to both before and I found Disneysea is more interesting. We rode some attractions, took a family picture in the Disney photo studio and last but not least, SHOPPING !!!

It was so much fun. Then at 5 o'clock we headed to Ginza. It's a very famous shopping area where you can find lots of branded shops. One of them is Burberry Blue Label which you can only find in Japan.

23/12/2005:

We visited Gotemba premium factory outlet not far from Mount Fuji.

There were more than hundred low price branded shops. It's really a heaven for the shoppaholics. Too many good stuffs to resist. Sadly we had only 2 hours there, so we had to be really quick, lol :p

After an unsatisfied shopping, we had lunch at Mount Fuji then we visited the Mount Fuji observation centre to watch a movie about mount Fuji and its history.

Then we took the fast train (shinkansen) from Kodama to Toyohashi.

24/12/2005:

We embarked the ferry to Ise-yama city for a city tour. It's a small city by the sea. There's a well known company named Mikimoto which make jewelery from pearls.

In the afternoon, we headed to Parque Espana, the Spain City. It’s a quite big theme park and they have an amazing roller coaster. We didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the attractions as they closed the park at 6pm.

25/12/2005:

Watching a Kimono fashion show in Kyoto, one of the oldest city in Japan. It was awesome, I love to see Japanese women in kimono. I think they look really pretty and sweet.

Then we visited some historic temples and did some shopping for Japanese souvenirs in the market.

26/12/2005:

Spending the day in the Universal Studio of Japan, Osaka. Each attractions is related to a movie title which was produced by Universal Studio. Such as Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Jaws and so on.

We also took a family picture in the photo studio with a background from the Jurassic Park movie. It was really funny because we tried to act as if we were shocked and scared of the T-ReX behind us.

The souvenir shops were also cool. I’d love to buy and collect all the souvenirs if only we didn’t need to concern about our suitcases *sigh*

At 4pm we gathered with the rest  of our group then we went to a shopping area in Osaka called Shinsaibashi.

27/12/2005:

Sayonara Japan....Welcome back to Hong Kong.

Spending the rest of the day just relaxing in the hotel to re-charge our energy, hehehehe :p

28/12/2005:

I went to the Central post office to send a parcel for my ex housemates in London. Then I headed to Times Square Shopping Mall to meet my family and did some shopping.

29/12/2005:

We went to Stanley Market for shopping. It’s a famous market for shopping in Hong Kong  by the beach.

You can find almost anything here, such as clothes, branded sports shoes, handicrafts, accessories, souvenirs, toys and a lot more. Just don’t forget to bargain.

30/12/2005:

Visiting one of a huge shopping mall in Hong Jong called Tai Khoo Shing. It has everything you need...electronic stores, book shops, toy stores, restaurants and cafes, apparel stores,...you name it !

31/12/2005:

We didn’t really have plan as most of the streets and places were really packed of people who were getting ready for the new year eve.

So we just visited some shops near by our hotel at Park Lane Hotel, Causeway Bay. At night we had dinner with my relatives in a Thai restaurant to celebrate the new year eve.

01/01/2006:

Moved to Hollywood Hotel in the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Spending the day in Hong Kong Disneyland. I think it’s much smaller than the other Disneylands. And not too many attractions either.

Philar Magic so much.

The hotel was brilliant with beautiful scenery. The room was also quite big for 4 persons. After all we enjoyed our time there.

02/01/2006:

Catching the afternoon flight from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

03/01/2006:

Heading to Genting Highland and stayed overnight at Genting Hotel. The hotel room was just average. Genting Highland is well known as City of Entertainment. There are outside and inside theme parks, game zones, theatre, casinos, shopping mall, and more.

We visited the Ripley’s Believe it or not! Museum. I love to see lots of very unique items from all around the world that they keep there. It’s just so interesting.

04/01/2006:

We went back to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon. We stayed in Berjaya Times Square Hotel. It’s a quite good and convenient hotel. We can access easily to the Times Square shopping mall from the hotel lobby.

In the evening we watched King Kong movie at IMAX theatre.

05/01/2006:

Spending the day at KLCC Suria. It’s a very large shopping mall just next to the Petronas Twin Towers. You can find almost anything here. From branded stores, antique shops, supermarket, cafes, food courts, etc

06/01/2006:

Last day in Kuala Lumpur, we headed to Sunway Pyramid Mall. The mall is in the same area as Sunway Lagoon, a famous theme park in Malaysia.

We weren’t really in the mood for shopping. I think we actually were getting tired of shops. Beside that we really should stop buying things because we hardly found any empty space to put stuffs in our suitcases, hehehehe :p

07/01/2006:

Flied from Kuala Lumpur to Surabaya. We finally reached home around 8pm. BLISS !!! Our home sweet home. After that 3 weeks trip I think we kinda miss our own bed, lol.
